The hidden hangers are secured to the fascia board using either 1 ½ - 3” ceramic coated screws or 1 ½ - 3” stainless steel screws. The type of screws used is crucial to gutter longevity. Many in the industry use zinc screws due to the low cost, but these zinc screws are not for external use. After a short period of time the screws rust, loose strength, and eventually break. You could have the best hidden hanger in the world but if the screw does not hold it becomes the weakest.
