Buildings With Steel Roofs!

For buildings with corrugated or standing seam steel roofs we install the Hangfast™ Hanger by Raytec Inc. to combat ice and snow slides. In the picture below, the hanger at the top is the Hangfast™ hanger we use compared to the Hangtite™ hanger below which we use on houses that have asphalt roofs.

Ceramic coated screws are used with both hangers to ensure no rusting or breakage. We do not install the shiny zinc screws because they are made for interior applications and they will rust and become weak if exposed to the elements. Once they become weak they will snap from the pressure of expansion and contraction of the gutter. When this happens the strongest hanger in the world becomes the weakest because there is nothing holding it tight to the structure.
